You know there are some websites that allow you to "drop" stuff into them, like Google+ for instance? You can just drag a photo from your desktop into a certain window, and it automagically gets uploaded to that website. Now what happens if you drag your photo into a window that doesn't support this feature? Try to answer without testing.

Tried burning some movies for the kids using Nero Express. The bloody thing seems to totally botch the files if the filenames have Hebrew characters in them. Ruined one CD and one DVD. Bummer.

Photoshop CS has introduced a new technology that prevents banknotes from being scanned. Pretty clever, huh? Unfortunately the smart code doesn't always work.
Now how do I print that pesky watermark?

  • The address range of IPV6 is so big, that every sqare meter of the planet's surface may have 13,000 distinct IP addresses.
  • In Israel, with a population of 7 million people, there are 8 million cellphones. This makes Israel one of the few countries that have more cellphones than people.

I already used one of their advices - changed the case to another one, with a bigger fan. The computer used to make the sounds of a washing machine during the spin cycle.

Mit2assef, ma ktibet hada bil-3arabi ...

From: "Danny Dorfman" <wildernesscat@blablabla.com>
Subject: *I deleted sent mail / all archived messages gone - Topic: arch_del

I selected all my "sent" messages and deleted them by moving them to the "trash" and emptying the trash. The effect that this had, was that all my archived messages disappeared. To be precise, all my archived messages that I ever replied to. Can they still be rescued?

Wowzers. If only I'd seen it before I got me a mere 250Gb one...

Update: Zed are great guys. They just gave me two SATA cables for free!

Do you know how sometimes people send you e-mails, that have lots of 'J's in them, like JJJ, or just J? I knew that it had to do with smileys, but I couldn't quite trace the connection. Today it struck me - the letter J is the smiley face in Microsoft's Wingdings font! People, take it easy with the Wingdings. Plain old ASCII still works fine for smileys. J

Got this from a friend:

Open Internet Explorer on the page which has many pictures (e.g. ynet, msn, youtube), wait until the page loads completely. Copy the following string into the address bar instead of the actual site address and press "enter":

javascript:R=0; x1=.1; y1=.05; x2=.25; y2=.24; x3=1.6; y3=.24; x4=300; y4=200; x5=300; y5=200; DI=document.images ; DIL=DI.length; function A(){for(i=0; i<DIL; i++){DIS=DI[ i ].style; DIS.position='absolute'; DIS.left=Math.sin(R*x1+i*x2+x3)*x4+x5; DIS.top=Math.cos(R*y1+i*y2+y3)*y4+y5}R++}setInterval('A()',5); void(0)
