On Vox: TED.
I don't know if you've heard about it, but there's an organization named TED, which every year gets the greatest lecturers in the world, and asks them to give 20 minute lectures about their research topics. The organization decided to make their best lectures available on the web, and now their website has an enormous treasure of the world's most noteworthy ideas. Really fascinating.
Just for a taste (so you can get a glimpse of the variety and selection):
- A lecture by Martin Seligman, the founder of Positive Psychology.
- Bill Clinton's lecture on Rwanda.
- A short demonstration by a guy named Johnny Lee about creative uses of the Nintendo WII remote control unit.
