Palestine 1695.

Some ancient historian named Hadriani Relandi visited Palestine in 1695 and wrote a detailed report about its towns and cities. I don't know Latin, so I can't tell for sure, but people in this article claim that he mostly found Jewish settlements here. Some pages of the book are even available for viewing. Doesn't help us much in the current political situation, but it sure makes you wonder how we wound up in this sad state of affairs. Someone unified a whole bunch of temps and nomads and created a "nation" out of nowhere.
