הוא גדולה, הוא חזקה
Oct. 9th, 2007 08:56 amWell, my idea with the poll didn't quite work out. I expected more Americans and Russians to answer, but they mostly prefered to keep silent. My impression was, that people of big nations tend to drop the name of their country from their postal addresses. It's pretty obvious to them that people can figure it out. Citizens of small countries do the opposite, they stick the name of their country wherever possible. Like a small cat that erects its fur to appear bigger than it really is.

Oct. 8th, 2007 09:11 amWhen someone from abroad asks you for your postal address, do you add the name of your country (Israel, Russia, USA, Finland, whatever) at the bottom? Let's assume that your correspondent knows the country you're in.

What do they eat in Estonia?
Jul. 16th, 2007 04:56 pmIt's been some time since I posted a poll, so here is one. A bit strange, but let's give it a try anyway.
[Poll #1022348]
ETA: I know it's called "verivorst" in Estonia, but I think that "verimakkara" is funnier.

Choo choo train chuggin' down the track.
Jun. 7th, 2007 04:52 pmGo and choose a paint job for Israel's new trains. I voted for the blue-and-red design (top right). The website looks kinda flaky, but what the heck. Maybe it actually works.

I've given up. My aching knee has driven me to forsake conventional medicine and resort to cabbage-leaf compresses. The results so far are inconclusive. What about you?

kinuski's monitor resolution poll and answer it. He wants to know what is your screen resoultion when you read LJ. The first option says "even less", and the last option says "even more". He wants as many responders as possible. Thanx!

And on a less formal note: do you find it acceptable to show karaoke slides on the wall of your neighbour's house without asking for permission first? :)

Mr. Dickenson revisited.
Mar. 1st, 2006 09:21 amOkay, let's see what we've got on the circumcision poll. 4 ladies and one gay man answered "it doesn't matter to me". 3 ladies answered they prefer their men circumcised. Another lady answered "it's complicated", but then concluded that she also likes them circumcised. Only 1 lady (!) answered she prefers her partners non-circumcised. I think that sums it up nicely.
And on a totally unrelated topic, here's how most of us use up our day. Mmmyeah...

How are you Mr. Dickenson?
Feb. 26th, 2006 05:39 pmAfter a discussion I had in LJ regarding circumcision, here's a question for ladies only. Only I will be able to see your answers, so feel free to participate. The comments will be screened as well.
