My sister-in-law called from Yoqneam yesterday, and said that the prices of rice have gone over the edge. One kilo of rice costs 22 NIS (almost $6.5 !), as opposed to just 7 NIS in Kfar Yona. Looks like some opportunistic folks were quick to ride the food shortage publicity wave, and raised the prices. Stop this madness! Passover is behind us, go get some spaghetti, for crying out loud.
