Hello Mister...

Today my entire family and I were just a few blocks away from the Grim Reaper. Yes, we happened to be in the vicinity of the Arim mall in Kfar Saba just when the explosion occured. At first people stand still and look at each other with this "are you thinking what I'm thinking" look in their eyes. Then someone notices the smoke rising from the shopping mall, then people get nervous, trying to use their cell-phones, but in vain (the cellular networks were shut down immediately). Then the sounds of numerous police cars, fire trucks and ambulances rushing by. People start shouting and running in all directions.

At first you have the urge to run towards the shopping mall, to see if someone needs help, but then reason takes over. You're thinking - "run away" - get away from this aweful place. We jumped into our cars and drove frantically north, towards home. Several ambulances and police cars were going at top speed in the opposite direction. One police car triggered an automatic speed-detection camera and it flashed in my face...

We made it home in one piece this time.
