In case you're gonna be traveling to Estonia any time soon, here's an excellent tour guide. Available in both on-line and paperback versions, I find it quite accurate and concise.

Etiquette and Protocol.

Following _alick_'s excellent blog, I discovered the site of Etiquette & Protocol. After some casual browsing I came upon this awkward piece of etiquette:

When you meet someone who is unable to shake hands, either due to the lack of a functioning arm or hand, or for some other medical reason, it is still considered appropriate and polite to extend your own right hand in greeting....

Now this is something that I have real trouble following. If my disabled interlocutor doesn't extend something first, I can only anticipate further embarassement for both of us if I take the initiative.
