Weekend report.

Went cycling with my high-school buddy Shai yesterday. Started from Kfar Yona, continued to Haniel, then into the Alexander River nature reserve, and all the way down to the sea. It turns out there are some pretty large turtles swimming in the river. Kids bring pieces of bread and throw them into the water, to see the turtles battle over their food. When we reached the coast, the place looked deserted, so we leant the bikes against each other, took off our clothes, and went skinny-dipping (that's fun :) On the way back passed through Kfar Vitkin, got some Druze pitas with labane, and back to Kfar Yona. Some beer and steaks on the barbie followed, and the day was crowned a success. Only then I remembered that I promised Yahel that I'd take him cycling in the afternoon... :)

P.S: When the bike shop sold me the "green goo" for sealing tires, they weren't kidding me. Got some kind of thorn stuck in my tire, removed it, and got a steady flow of air coming out of the puncture. Lifted the wheel up in the air, rotated it vigorously a couple of times, and the airflow stopped. Pumped the tire full again, and it was as good as new. Way to go goo!
