Saving WaterI think I've already posted this list of tips for saving water, but that was ages and ages ago. It's at least 50 years old (judging by the style of Hebrew) and quite curious, but I cannot think of modern household appliances that can benefit from it. When everything is mechanized, water just goes down the drain, and you have no way of reusing it.

Okay, there are commercially available systems that will modify your sewage plumbing, collect filtered "gray" water into underground storage tanks, and use it for watering the lawn, but they are quite expensive. I once talked to a salesperson of one such company, and he estimated that the return-on-investment will start in 5 years' time. In short, we still haven't reached the point where we'd invest in such a monster. Holding my fingers crossed for a rainy winter.
