On Vox: Only in Israel.
May. 6th, 2009 10:12 pmMy father-in-law had a jeep, which was ensured with a well-known Israeli insurance company. One month before the insurance was about to end, the jeep was stolen. The man approached his insurance, and asked them to pay him back the whole cost of his jeep. The insurance people refused, claiming that the car's protection had been inadequate at the time of theft (some satellite location system was disconnected). He didn't agree with that, they had a big fight, and he ended up suing them in court. The court system was overworked as usual, so he was put on a long waiting list.
One month later, can you guess what happened? The company automatically renewed his car insurance.
