People say that they choose music according to their current mood. Well, I think it's the other way around. Music has tremendous effect on your mood. If you are in a neutral kind of mood, and you hear something depressing, you'll get depressed, and the other way around. Don't be lazy, put on a disk you like, or switch channels on the radio if they start broadcasting all kinds of "dark days of war" stuff.

Today Yahel and I came to talking about the idea of the kibbutz. He didn't know what a kibbutz was, so I explained the concept in a nutshell: the members work as a collective, people work as much as they can, all the wealth is divided equally, there is virtually no private property, etc. The kid (who is not 7 yet) thought for a second and concluded: nobody will be willing to work.

I wonder what a beekeeper says when he occasionally gets stung by a bee - "shit I lost another one"?

On regular days the land is owned by cars. We live in fear of them.

Very well written. In every sin you can see a typical trait of the modern Israeli (yes, yours truly included). I was surprised to find out that the author represented the Left, because most of this can be applied to the general public. I hope you're not bored to read more than 300 words :)

Suppose someone told you that you could make the same money you're making now (maybe even a bit more) without working. Would you be able to do nothing during the day? By "nothing" I mean nothing useful - not studying, not reading tech literature, not working around the house, not home schooling your kids, not volunteering at the old age home, not planning your next career. Could you? And... you're forbidden to feel guilty about it!

You are better equipped to cope with jet lag after you've had kids and survived.

No matter how I look at it (comme ci, comme ça), I will die some time in 2060. That's a long time to drag along. Better find me some books.
