My postcard to Kuwait eventually made it! Sure enough, I had to send via 3rd party, and the card had no Israeli characteristics of any kind, but still it's a real message that went to a country we have no postal agreements with.

If I dropped it in a mailbox in Israel, it would be as good as writing "David Smith, The Moon" on it. If it had a return address, it would be returned to sender; if not, it would have gone straight to the trash basket.
