Turns out that Yehoram Gaon was right. The "mizrahi" (oriental) Israeli songs are indeed very poor in vocabulary and word count (heb). Who comes out well from this comparison? Naturally, Gaon himself, and surprisingly, Subliminal. The general observation is - the later the song, the poorer the vocabulary. Pretty sad, huh?
