Four in a tent.
Jun. 5th, 2011 09:44 amTook the kids camping at the Beit Yanai beach. We arrived Friday afternoon, pitched a tent, inflated a big mattress, and played by the waterfront until it got dark. The kids went to sleep allright, but I got awaken at 1am by a loud party a couple of meters away. There is a ban on generators on that beach, so people did the guitar-playing, the drinking, and the loud singing without the help of electricity. The party kept me awake for 2 hours, and then at 5am the kids got up and started running around the place. I reluctantly got up as well, and was greeted by the most amazing light a photographer could ask for. Unfortunately, as we were guests in the "sand kingdom" of the Mediterranean shore, I left the camera at home. People strolling along the waterfront in the morning breeze, dogs chasing each other, people going to fetch water for coffee, everything gets colored pink and looks like the most romantic scene ever. Maybe one day I'll wake up early at home, and get to that beach with the break of dawn. We packed our stuff around 9am and headed off. Sand, sand and more sand in every imaginable cavity...
