Our pride and joy.

In the late 1950's the British car manufacurer Reliant teamed up with a new Israeli firm, "Autocars Co. Ltd." from Haifa to produce the first blue-and-white automobile. The car received the name Sussita and became notorious for its weak fiberglass casing, slow speed, and various structural failures. The first models were the worst of the lot and were a big flop on the market. Only towards 1961 the plant succeeded in making cars that actually lasted more than several months, and are now collectible items. The car had a couple of additional models, named "Rom" and "Carmel", but those were only sold to the IDF for a limited time, until the plant went bankrupt in the beginning of the 70's. Sic transit gloria mundi!
