I finally did it. After returning from work yesterday I single-handedly installed a water timer for watering my front yard. Working like a professional gardener (with pruning shears) I cut some plastic pipes, hooked them up with angles, and attached the whole thing to the mains water supply. It took me 2 trips to the gardening store, and a couple of liters of spilled water, but I finally did it! Automation to the people!

P.S: Did you know? In order to force a plastic pipe onto an angle connector, you need to soak it in boiling water for 10 seconds. I bet you couldn't do without this final piece of information.
