I went to the Russian-speaking Israeli community (rusisrael) and asked the following question:

Would you like to live and work in the European Union on a permanent basis?

I got the following range of answers:

1) Terrific, where do I sign up?
2) Yes, but only if I know in advance that I'll like it.
3) Yes, I'd go for a while and then come back. I belong here.
4) Yes, I'd go for a while and then decide.
5) No thank you, but I'll keep the option open.
6) No way, I love it here.
7) No way, it's nasty out there.
8) I'll live in the EU when I retire. Until then - I don't care this way or the other.

The interesting thing, is that most people went to the extremities. Either they love it here, or they can't wait to get out.
