Tel Megiddo.
May. 15th, 2004 08:40 amA couple of weeks ago we made a small day-trip to Tel Megiddo. It's used to be a fortified city that guarded the road from the coast to the Izreel valley (what we know now as Wadi Ara). The history of the city is long and complicated, but what we see today, is a collection of totally ruined buildings. There are a few great observation points, and there is the underground waterworks, but basically it's nothing more than a place for a family picnic. Be sure to get a "matmon" season ticket (which is good for all the national parks), or the entrance will be quite costly.
