Some policemen ramained in Ramat Gan.

A friend of mine was caught jaywalking today. He crossed the street a few meters away from a zebra crossing. A policeman that was standing nearby approached him and asked him for his ID. He proceeded by handing him a 100 NIS fine ($22)! I wonder, what if my friend pretended he had no ID with him? I know it's illegal as well, but would the cop take him in, or let him go?
