Beit Nabulsi.
Mar. 31st, 2006 12:15 pmIt's time to show a few pictures from Kfar Yona, since nobody knows where it is, or what's special about it.

Let's start with the house of Raadi Nabulsi, who was a wealthy industrialist from the city of Nablus (today in the Palestinian Authority). Nabulsi had a flourishing business in the Sharon region in the 30s and 40s, and started building this house for his second wife. The house was designed by Dr. Haim Ben Amar from Netanya, and was intended to have fountains, ornamental pools, and a luscious garden. The Independence War in 1948 cut off the building process in its throes. Nabulsi returned to his hometown, and the house stood deserted, occasionally used as an agricultural warehouse. Recently, with the expansion of Kfar Yona to the south-west, the municipality had the sense to incorporate this exceptional building into a new public park.
