Jewish Population of the World.

The numbers, as of the year 2005. I never imagined that Estonia has a larger Jewish population than, say, Finland. America is still in the lead - no surprise there. Afghanistan has only one Jew left. I wonder if he knows who he is.

Hi people,

For a piece of linguistic research related to a job, I find myself in need of a corpus (repository) of sms messages. I need to get my hands on as many real-life sms messages in English (or Hebrew) as possible. If you could help me in one of the following ways, I would owe you big time:

- You are in possession of the World's Largest Real-life SMS Corpus, you keep it in the attic and you don't mind sending it over to me, you benevolent person you...
- You're gonna type-in a handful of messages currently in your phone memory into an Excel table and email it to me, just because you CAN.
- You (or someone you know) collected a similar corpus for research or something and are willing to share it or the method used to collect it. (i already know of the NUS corpus)
- You (or a loved one) have a modest archive of real smses at home because your cell phone allows for direct back-up of data to your computer and you've been copying message to your PC for years, following a drunken bet in '98.
- You have some idea of how to help me gather sms (in the hundreds), not only from friends but from groups of society i don't usually hang with (kids, idiots, people with umbrellas down [both] their pant-legs).

I need the smses "as is", with typos, emoticons, abbreviations etc. They don't need to funny or anything, just real.
Also, I can promise that they will be used with complete anonymity and not made public.
