Sign of the Times.

When I was  12 years old, my parents sent me to summer school in the UK. One of the field trips we took back then, was to the Science Museum of London. There we saw one of the scientific wonders of those times - a fibre optic lamp. Imagine this - light that follows curved lines and presents a bouquet of tiny little colored spots all over the display box. I was deeply moved by the technological advancement of the 20th century.

Last Friday (that's 25 years later) Shachar received one of those lamps as a going-away birthday present. A Chinese toy worth a few sheqels.
