A young man, who wanted to get married, came to see Hing Shi. The young man asked:
- Teacher, I want to get married, and I insist that my bride be a virgin. Tell me, am I acting wisely?
The Teacher asked:
- Why does she have to be a virgin?
- That way I'll be certain she's virtuous.
The Teacher went out and brought two apples: one whole, and one with a bite missing. He offered the young man to taste them. The guy took the whole apple and took a bite - the apple turned out to be rotten. He then took the other apple, took another bite, but it also turned out to be rotten. Perplexed, the young man asked:
- How should I choose my bride, then?
- With your heart, - said the Teacher.
