Škoda OctaviaDoes a car make a person? I wonder what makes some people choose certain cars.

On Yom Kippur we went cycling, and arrived at a friends' house in a nearby town. I haven't seen them for a couple of years, and thought it would be a good opportunity to pay them a visit. Somehow the topic of conversation shifted to cars. I said I drive the most exotic leased car. "It's not a Mazda, a Toyota, a Ford Focus, or a Renault Magane. Can you guess what it is?". The lady of the house didn't blink an eye before answering "you drive a Škoda". How did she know? Is it written on my forehead? She said it was pretty obvious. Weird.

Very peculiar. In a text I got from ArabicPod.net  there is a strange lam-meem ligature. For example the word "il-munaaseb" (the suitable) looks like this: in Word, but like this: in PDF. Looks like a consistent feature in all Acrobat documents. Where did the meem go?
