Aug. 15th, 2009 09:14 pmThis was a disaster waiting to happen, the pull strap of the vertical blinds in one of the kids' windows was about to tear apart. It was old and worn, and it was its time to go. Yesterday the strap snapped, and the blinds dropped all the way down. I knew I had a spare strap stashed away somewhere, but wasn't sure exactly where, and what I was supposed to do with it. Lucky for me, I've got the missus to help me with my lousy memory. The strap was located at the back of the utilities closet in the backyard. Now how the hell do you get it replaced? Have no fear, HomeAid is here. In just a few seconds I found this great video, which shows you exactly how to get this fixed. In our window, the spring roller was at the top (and not the bottom), but the principle was the same. Saved a few hundred sheqels for sure.
