בלי בד"ץ בשבילי בבקשה
Jul. 9th, 2010 01:46 pmSo what did I do? I went to my regular supermarket with a shopping list, and checked every product for its kashrut seal. I had no problem with the milk products, the ice cream, or with the imported stuff. I had to substitute the canola oil (Etz ha-Zait), the pasta (Ossem) and the choco-drink (Elite) for the supermarket's own brand name. No problem with the canned goods. The kids' syrup (Vitaminchik) had to be replaced with a Prigat one. The only thing I couldn't find, was brown sugar. Sugat has a monopoly on that, and all their products carry this particular Badatz seal.
All in all, it's not much of a hassle. I don't think I sacrificed much in terms of price or quality, but did a small step in stopping the parasites from having a party at my expense. As the Americans say, if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.
